Description: South Asia is a refereed journal published under the authority of the South Asian Studies Association of Australia. It is published three times a year, in April, August and December. Its mission is to provide a forum for scholarly research, comment and discussion on the history, society, economy, culture and international relations of the South Asian region from the earliest times to the present day. Ordinarily there are two general issues each year, and one dedicated to a topical theme. Published since 1971, South Asia is the world’s senior journal of record for the South Asian region.
