Description: The Review centres on refereed articles of the highest quality on all aspects of Asian studies. This includes traditional fields such as history, economics and literature, as well as many areas (film, popular culture, health science, environment etc.) that have in the past tended to fall outside the purview of mainstream Asian studies. "State of the art" essays and surveys of major intellectual trends in Asian countries are particularly sought. The journal also incorporates a strong book review section. Guest-edited "special issues" are also a feature.
