Scholia Summary Search Result (click to enlarge)

Scholia is a collaborative archive enabling Indologists and Buddhologists to catalogue, store and retrieve bibliographical materials, including data on articles, books, images, theses, software, working papers and so on.

Over 35,000 Indological and Buddhological records - spanning 1970 to the present - are currently available.

Scholia provides two interfaces: Scholia - Search and Scholia - Submit. All users can search Scholia with its public content.

Bibliographic records can be viewed in various forms - Summary, Brief and Full - and downloaded in various formats - EndNote, RIS, BibTeX, Dublin Core and MODS.

All records can be cross searched through embedded links - author, title, place, publisher, date, series, subject ... and all are in UTF-8. Assistance is available through Search Help and Submission Help.

Registered users are encouraged to submit material on their own research and publications through the Submission Interface.

Powered by Zebra

Scholia is built on a modified version Zebra: "a high-performance, general-purpose structured text indexing and retrieval engine" developed by the Danish software development firm Index Data. The author would like to express his deepest gratitude for the support he has received over the years from members of this firm, especially to Adam DICKMEISS.

Registration provides free-of-charge access to all materials within Repositorium, Catalogus, and Philologica. Registered users can also submit material on their publications through Scholia.
